Who we are

Clearhold (clearhold.nz) provides free rental property tax calculators for New Zealand landlords. Clearhold is operated by Andy McInnes, based in New Zealand.

What we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide our service:

• Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to receive tax tips. Collected via Formspree.
• Anonymous usage data — page views and referral sources, collected via Plausible Analytics. Plausible is privacy-friendly: no cookies, no personal data, no tracking across sites. Plausible data policy (opens in new tab).

We do not collect: names, addresses, financial details, property information, or any data you enter into our calculators. All calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers.

How we use your information

• Email addresses are used solely to send you NZ landlord tax tips and product updates.
• Analytics data is used to understand which tools are most useful and improve the site.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Email addresses are stored by Formspree (our form processor) under their privacy policy (opens in new tab).

Cookies

Clearhold does not use cookies. Plausible Analytics is cookie-free.

Your rights

Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Request access to any personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time (every email includes an unsubscribe link)
• Request deletion of your email address from our mailing list
